Disney's Aladdin is Coming to Broadway

Upon hearing the news that Mary Poppins will be ending its run on Broadway, fans of Disney on Broadway wondered what would take the place of the hit musical. Joining the legendary runs of The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast, Disney is giving fans Aladdin. Set to hit the Broadway stage in Spring of 2014, the musical is playing a pre-Broadway performance at the Ed Mirvish Theatre in Toronto from November 13 to January 12th, 2014. No word yet on who will be cast in the musical but someone please check Lea Salonga's schedule.

I am so excited about this! I definitely want to get tickets asap. 2014 seems like an eternity away.

ELF: The Musical Returns to Broadway

Great news for fans of this hit Broadway musical. Elf: The Musical is returning to Broadway just in time for the holidays. Starting November 9th, 2012, the show will run for a limited 9 week engagement until January 6th, 2013. The show will star Jordan Gelber as Buddy and Wayne Knight (Seinfeld, Jurassic Park) as Santa. Nick Jonas is quickly taking over the Broadway world! He's been receiving rave reviews in the role of J. Pierrepont Finch in How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Tonight begins Nick Jonas' run as  J. Pierrepont Finch  in How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. As Jonas Brothers fans who love Broadway, it's amazing to see Nick return to his theater roots in such an incredible role. Anyone who gets to attend his opening show tonight should consider themselves very lucky (especially because the whole Jonas clan will be in attendance! Ahh!) American Idiot Touring Cast Revealed

Beginning December 28th in Toronto, ON the musical American Idiot will be hitting the road for their national tour. Darren Criss Joining How To Succeed on Broadway?

Deadline reports that Darren Criss is in talks to take over for Daniel Radcliffe in the Broadway production of How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying. If the deal is made, Darren will join the cast in January and miss only one episode of Glee.
