NBC Officially Cancels 'Smash'

It's not exactly a surprise but the news we all expected has finally arrived. NBC has officially canceled their musical series Smash after two seasons. Even if the show was a mess lately, I'm going to be sad to see it go. The cast, well most of it, was so wonderful. I loved seeing them together. I haven't been able to catch up with the show since the network moved it to Saturday nights so I can't comment on how much of a mess the second season spiraled into.

Megan Hilty - No Cure - Music Video

From Smash to a solo success. Megan Hilty has released her new lyrical music video for "No Cure." The song is off her new solo album It Happens All The Time. Megan is known for her big, beautiful voice so it was a surprise to hear her choose a single that's so simple. In my opinion it doesn't showcase how amazing her voice really is.

You can see Megan on NBC's Smash on Tuesday nights before it makes the move to Saturdays in April.

Smash - 2x07 - Musical Chairs - Promo

NBC has announced plans to move Smash to Saturday nights. That's worse than Fridays. I can't say that it's looking good. And it's a shame. With the exception of a cast member or two, I really enjoy watching Smash. I love the rest of the cast and even the guest stars. They're all so talented.

"Musical Chairs" - New circumstances give rise to conflicts as Karen (Katharine McPhee), Tom (Christian Borle), Julia (Debra Messing) and Derek (Jack Davenport) adjust to their new surroundings. Tensions at 'Liaisons' are also coming to a boil, ensuring that the show will find its place in Broadway history. Meanwhile, Eileen (Anjelica Huston) may have found the key to saving 'Bombshell' with the help of her daughter, Katie (guest star Grace Gummer).

Smash: Season 2 Preview - The Dramaturg - Promo

Did you tune in for season 2 of Smash? We did. And I have to say, I loved it. It still has some problems, Karen is still an incredibly unlikeable character, but the rest of the cast is too fantastic for NBC to give up on it just yet. Here's hoping they don't! Season 2 will feature appearances from Jennifer Hudson and my personal favorite Sean Hayes so be sure to tune in on Tuesdays.

Smash: Watch The First Hour of Season 2 - 'On Broadway'

Fans of NBC's hit drama Smash can breathe a sigh of relief. The long wait for season 2 is almost over. NBC has released the first hour of the season 2 premiere for fans to watch online. The 2 hour season 2 premiere On Broadway airs February 5th. Jennifer Hudson joins the cast this season as well as some other familiar faces.

Smash - Season 2 Sneak Peek

The wait for fans of Smash is almost over! The hit NBC musical drama returns to our TV screens February 5th, in a move to Tuesdays, with a two hour episode. Now you can get a glimpse at what's in store for the dramatic second season. The rivalry between Karen and Ivy is still going strong and there are also some new faces. Jennifer Hudson joins the cast as well as a new love interest and a guest appearance by Sean Hayes. What else can fans look forward to? See for yourself!

Nikki Blonsky Joins Smash

Smash has added another familiar face to the growing cast of its highly anticipated second season. Nikki Blonsky has just been announced to appear in a recurring role. She will be joining other cast additions Jennifer Hudson, Jesse L. Martin, and Sean Hayes. We're so excited for this! We absolutely loved her in Hairspray and can't wait to support her in Smash.

2012 Creative Arts Emmy Award Winners

The 2012 Creative Emmy Awards took place last night honoring the greatest achievements this year in television. Some of the standout winners include Wizards of Waverly Place, HBO's Girls, the wonderful Jimmy Fallon for his episode hosting Saturday Night Live, and Smash.

The primetime Emmy awards will be airing September 23rd.

Jennifer Hudson Joins The Cast of 'Smash'

Smash is about the add another American Idol finalist to their talented cast. Jennifer Hudson will be joining the show for their second season for a multi-episode arc. She'll be playing a Broadway star named Veronica.

Smash Season Two Casting Changes

Uh oh! It looks like Smash is going to be making some big changes to its cast this fall.  The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that four regulars from season one will not be returning for season two. The show also has plans to add three more characters into the mix in this upcoming season. Get the details below:

Smash Season Finale: Sneak Peek

On Monday, the season finale of "Smash" airs. Nick Jonas is set to return as famous actor Lyle West. As you can recall, Eileen, played by Anjelica Huston, approached Lyle to invest in her show about Marilyn Monroe. Nick's character suggests to Eileen that Ivy takes the role of Marilyn. Eileen seems to think he has a point. Hmm will this influence her decision? Check out the sneak peek below of Nick on Monday's episode:

Bombshell is headed to Boston. We're now at the Tech stage. Which is really a bunch of dress rehearsals while they figure out the lights and such. A hitch is thrown into their already hectic schedule when their Joe Dimaggio quits. Their best option is to bring back Michael. Julia isn't going to like that at all. When Tom finally breaks the news to her, she refuses to come back. She gives them an ultimatum. It's him or her.
