Big Colton Dixon Annoucements

Colton Dixon fans, get excited! Today, he posted a video on Twitter to share some exciting announcements he has about his music career. First off, Dixon has been signed to EMI/CMG Sparrow Records. His original song "Never Gone", which he has performed all summer long on the American Idol tour, will be released on iTunes on September 25th. "You Are" will be his first single off his upcoming album. The song will be available for purchase and on radio stations soon. Dixon describes it as a "worship song" that he wrote a year and a half ago with some of his friends. Watch the video annoucement below:

Colton Dixon - Never Gone - Chicago

What's better than YouTube videos? YouTube videos from the front row, of course. That's just what we got with Colton Dixon's "Never Gone" from Chicago last night. "Never Gone" is an original song that will be off Dixon's debut album coming out later this year. If this song is any indication of what the rest of the album will bring, then we're very excited. American Idol Top 10 Finalists - Raise Your Glass and Glad You Came - Detroit

A highlight of the American Idol Live! tour has always been the group numbers. In the past, this has included Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" and Rihanna's "Please Don't Stop the Music". This year, the finalists end the show once again with more songs we all know and love. The ladies' start off the encore by singing Pink's "Raise Your Glass", which transitions into the guys' jamming out to The Wanted's "Glad You Came". During the end of "Glad You Came", the ladies join the guys back on stage to finish up the megahit. Watch the video below of the top ten closing out their Detroit show:

With American Idol summer tour dates being released last week, it got us to thinking what our ideal set list would be. The contestants this season have consistently put out amazing performances, but some just seem to stand out a little more than others. What would we personally love to hear sung on tour?

American Idol 2012 Summer Tour Dates

It's that time of the year again. Dates for the annual American Idol summer tour are out. Beginning on July 6 in Detroit, you can catch the Idol contestants on their 45 city tour. The tour runs through September, wrapping up in Milwaukee on the 11th. We've been going to the American Idol tour every year since season two and it never disappoints. Rather you're just going for one contestant or to root on them all, it's always a good time. Who are you looking forward to seeing take the stage?
