Today the final report of his death has been released. According to the coroner's report, Monteith's official death was a "mixed drug toxicity, involving intravenous heroin use combined with the ingestion of alcohol." You might be thinking 'we knew this already', but did you know that "a spoon with drug residue and a used hypodermic needle, along with two empty champagne bottles and glasses" was found at the scene? His alcohol level was 0.13, which is considered a "moderate" level of intoxication. Glee: What Will Happen to Finn Hudson?
This breaks our hearts. After hearing about Cory Monteith's sudden death, a lot of us wondered how this would effect Glee. Would they just recast the role of Finn Hudson? Well it looks like Ryan Murphy is choosing to have Hudson meet an untimely demise. While we guess this was the obvious choice, it still doesn't make it hurt any less. It's like we'll have to relive the news of Monteith's death over again in a few months. Plus, didn't we all want Hudson to have his happy ending after the constant setbacks? Murphy also dished to TV Line that after the third episode (the one featuring the Hudson tribute), the show will go on an indefinite hiatus. Season 5 will return to Fox on September 26th, one week later than expected.

Clip From Cory Monteith's Final Role in McCanick
Like the rest of the world, we're still in disbelief over Cory Monteith's death on Saturday. He was one of our favorite actors. It was clear to anyone who has met him before (We have multiple times. Sigh.), that he was a sweet, generous, loving person with a heart of gold. We can honestly say from the short times we were around him, it was evident how much he loved being with his fans. Rather there were 1 or 100 fans waiting for him, he always stopped and treated each person like they were the only ones in the world. It's always so sad when bad things happen to good people.
As most of his fans knew, Monteith had recently filmed the movie McCanick, which will now be his final film. In it, Monteith plays Simon Weeks, a drug-addicted street hustler. Check out this scene of Monteith in McCanick below:
Cory Monteith's Death to Delay Glee Filming
With the heartbreaking news of Cory Monteith's death, it looks like Glee will delay their filming of season five. Since Monteith's character Finn Hudson was supposed to be heavily featured throughout the season, the crew needs time to rewrite scripts, redirect storylines, and give all those involved with the show time to grieve and heal. Thanks to this, it looks like the show won't begin airing season five until at least November, instead of the usual September premiere date. In our opinion, there's no show without Monteith. Finn Hudson was such an integral part of the series, that we can't imagine how they can continue on without him. What do you think?
