Demi Lovato Defends Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus is constantly in the news for her crazy antics. Whether it's twerking on Robin Thicke or swinging naked in her "Wrecking Ball" music video, people can't stop talking. One star that's coming to Cyrus' defense is former Disney star Demi Lovato. In a recent interview with Fox 31 Everyday, Lovato said "I know Britney [Spears] and Miley very well, Miley has been one of my best friends growing up, and so I'm happy for her." Lovato later went on to say, "She's doing what she wants to do, and this is her time to break out and figure out what she wants to do in her career, and her image and everything." Aww. It's nice seeing Lovato stick by her friend's side. Check out the interview below:

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Call It Quits

The world has been speculating for months that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are no longer together. Today it became official. Reps for both stars confirmed to People magazine that the two have called off their engagement. The couple first met in 2010 on the set of the movie The Last Song and went on to get engaged in May of 2012. Everything was going well until Cyrus and Hemsworth postponed their wedding earlier this year. Then Cyrus was spotted without her engagement ring on, only fueling rumors of the breakup. Things seemed to be getting better though when the two were spotted together on the red carpet at the premiere of Hemsworth's film Paranoia. Well that was until yesterday when Cyrus unfollowed Hemsworth on Twitter. This is a shame. What are your thoughts about this split?

Miley Cyrus to Perform at iHeartRadio Music Festival

Miley Cyrus has been all over the headlines lately. This time around it's for good news. The "We Can't Stop" singer will be performing this weekend at the hugely popular iHeartRadio music festival in Las Vegas. Cyrus will perform her new single "Wrecking Ball" for the first time. Hmm. Miley Cyrus is back at it again with the music video for "Wrecking Ball". No, she's not twerking in this video but that doesn't mean she's still not causing quite the buzz. This time around Cyrus is seen naked swinging from a...wrecking ball. Then there's the scenes where she's making out with a sledgehammer. Are we the only ones who wish Cyrus went subtle for this music video? She just caused a huge commotion at the Video Music Awards, that it's time for her to have us focus on the music alone and not the craziness that surrounds it. Justin Timberlake's Got Miley Cyrus' Back

This week is already halfway over, but that doesn’t mean people have stopped talking about the MTV VMAs that aired live last Sunday night.  Yes, all the VMA mayhem is over until next year, but one artists’ performance still has people shaking their heads in disgust.

Remember when Miley Cyrus was a cute, innocent, little girl on Disney’s Hannah Montana?  Well the “We Can’t Stop” singer made it perfectly clear during her performance that that girl is gone.  The former Disney star preformed her hit single, “We Can’t Stop” and I don’t know about you, but all I could focus on were the giant teddy bears strapped to her dancers.  That really freaked me out.  But aside from the bears, it was the singer’s “twerking” that left audiences speechless by how trashy it looked, especially when the “Wrecking Ball” singer was doing it against married man, Robin Thicke, who made an appearance on stage with her.  Not only was the “twerking” an issue, but also the vulgar and sexually explicit dancing didn’t help either (especially with what she did with the foam finger she was wearing).  And I’d really not get into the lack of clothes she had and I don’t even know how to describe her choice of hair-do or the whole tongue thing she was doing.

Miley Cyrus Disses Disney

Oh look, another case of Miley Cyrus slamming the people who made her what she is. The "We Can't Stop" singer is now telling Daily Star Sunday that the company tries to stop their stars from growing up and straying away from the sweet and innocent image. She goes on to dish about how she never quite fit the Hannah Montana mold, no matter how hard they tried to make her that way. Even if this is the case, there's no need to diss the corporation that gave you your start. You're not squeaky clean anymore. We get it. We're not at all surprised that she's making these comments. Remember, Cyrus is edgy now. Check out exactly what Cyrus told the Daily Star Sunday below:

Is There Trouble in Paradise For Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth?

For the longest time, there have been rumors floating around that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have called off their engagement. While the couple maintained the whole time that they were still together, there were numerous reports stating otherwise. It didn't help that the two were always spotted solo. Well, all that changed Thursday night when the two stars showed up to the Paranoia premiere together. For the first time in 14 months, Cyrus and Hemsworth accompanied each other to an event. Sounds too good to be true, right? Well maybe. Now US Weekly is stating that the couple didn't seem all that in love. "Miley and Liam acted like they didn't even know each other the entire night," their source says. The source then went on to say, "she was wearing her ring but they acted as if they were strangers." A few quick kisses were exchanged between the duo, but the source noted "they were awkward and he didn't seem into them." Do you think there's trouble in paradise for Cyrus and Hemsworth or is the media making something out of nothing?

Miley Cyrus and Emily Osment Hang Out at Paranoia Premiere

Aww, this makes us happy. Former Hannah Montana co-stars Miley Cyrus and Emily Osment reunited on Thursday night at the Paranoia premiere. This is the first time they've been photographed with one another in years. Even though both girls showed up to the event separately, it was awesome for fans of the Disney Channel show to see these TV besties together again. Now if only they could hang out more often.

It looks like this is Miley Cyrus' summer and possibly her year too. The former Disney star has slowly worn less clothing and shown more skin over the years, yet knows how to remain fashionable even when pushing current trends to the very limit. (We're talking barely-there short-shorts, etc.) She's gotta be doing something right though because after releasing her own music video to "We Can't Stop", she has now been featured in Big Sean's latest music video - "Fire". Don't expect to hear Miley lace the track because she's featured more as a model than anything. We're not complaining though, she makes some of those get-ups look good!

Miley Cyrus Poses Nude for Marc Jacobs Campaign

There's no denying that Miley Cyrus is all grown up. As part of Marc Jacobs' "Protect The Skin You're In" campaign, Cyrus posed fully nude for their T-shirt design. The campaign is raising money for the New York University Skin Cancer Institute. Even though you can't see any of Cyrus' private parts because they're covered with her hands and the logo, it's still pretty risque for the one-time Disney star. If this had happened, a year or two ago, I think we'd all be shocked. However, lately? Not so much. Sometimes it just feels like she's trying so hard to be edgy, to break away from her old image. Whatever. At least this is for a good cause, right?

Miley Cyrus Addresses Engagement Rumors

Are they or aren't they? There's been rumors swirling around for months now that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have called off their engagement. With pictures leaking of Hemsworth hanging out with January Jones and Cyrus without her ring on, it's no wonder the media has had a field day with this couple's relationship status. While doing press for her new music, this topic obviously made its way into an interview. When asked about their upcoming wedding nupitals, Cyrus responded, "I'm wearing a ring, so..." Glad to see these two are still together and going strong.

Miley Cyrus Performs on Good Morning America

Yesterday was a big day for Smilers. Miley Cyrus appeared on Good Morning America to perform her single "We Can't Stop" and "Fall Down" ft. Will. i. am. I would say I'm surprised by Cyrus' clothing (or lack of clothing) but this girl has clearly moved on from her days as Hannah Montana. There's no doubt she has grown up. While we do enjoy her new sound, sometimes it just feels like she's trying too hard. On the other hand, she's probably one of the few musicians out now who will be around for the long haul. Miley Cyrus Shocks Jimmy Kimmel on His Talk Show

Look who continues to claw away at the "goody-two-shoes" image we had grown accustomed to during her Hannah Montana days. Miley Cyrus visited Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday and caused a ruckus with her choice of style. Taking cues straight from Lady Gaga, Miley decided to forgo pants all together in favor of high-waisted hot pants that stopped just at the bottom of her cheeks and thigh high boots to top it off. Kimmel didn't miss a beat; taking the opportunity to comment on the outfit in his usual, witty way. Miley didn't even blush as he quipped "The only one on my couch in their underpants is me" in response to her jokingly asking if he'd ever had anyone sit on his couch in their underwear. It looks like Miley will be experimenting with her style more and more but we'll see just how far she takes this edgy look over time.

Remember when Miley Cyrus was a sweet, innocent Disney Channel star?  Those days are long gone. Cyrus is back now with an edgy sound and look to match. Her new single "We Can't Stop" is  a complete 180 from her "Party in the U.S.A." days, but we're liking this change. Punk'd Season 9 Trailer

Punk'd, that show we all know and love, is coming back to MTV later this month. This time around, celebrities such as Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, Zac Efron, and Dianna Agron will fall victim to these crazy pranks. I used to love this show back in the day when Ashton Kutcher hosted it, and I'm hoping MTV can recreate that spark. My fear is that some of these stars have caught on to the series and the reactions aren't going to be as legit as they claim. Do you guys remember Justin Timberlake getting Punk'd back in season 1? That was definitely my favorite prank ever. So epic. What's your favorite? Well nonetheless, this is a fun show and I can't wait for it to be back on my TV every week beginning March 29.
