Demi Lovato Defends Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus is constantly in the news for her crazy antics. Whether it's twerking on Robin Thicke or swinging naked in her "Wrecking Ball" music video, people can't stop talking. One star that's coming to Cyrus' defense is former Disney star Demi Lovato. In a recent interview with Fox 31 Everyday, Lovato said "I know Britney [Spears] and Miley very well, Miley has been one of my best friends growing up, and so I'm happy for her." Lovato later went on to say, "She's doing what she wants to do, and this is her time to break out and figure out what she wants to do in her career, and her image and everything." Aww. It's nice seeing Lovato stick by her friend's side. Check out the interview below:

Demi Lovato and Darren Criss Collaborate at We Day

Last week marked We Day in Toronto. The annual event, which focuses on sparking social changes and developing education, attracted more than 20,000 students at the Air Canada Centre. Of course since We Day is part concert and part leadership convention, there were performances from popstars like Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers. Glee star Darren Criss even hosted the event. Our favorite moment of the day when Lovato and Criss performed "Skyscraper" together with the Kenyan Boys Choir. You're not going to want to miss this. Check out the performance below:

Demi Lovato to Release Staying Strong

Demi Lovato is Joining Glee

All Glee fans might want to sit down because this news might give you a “Heart Attack”.  There are reports swirling around the web that singer/actress, Demi Lovato, may be joining the show for its fifth season.

The “Give Your Heart A Break” singer who’s currently a judge on The X Factor has apparently been in talks with Fox to appear on the musical comedy in what looks like a recurring role.

Demi Lovato's Father Passes Away

Sad news for fans of Demi Lovato. It was confirmed yesterday that the singer's biological father has passed away. Patrick Lovato had been battling cancer for years. As most fans know, Demi has been estranged from him since 2007. She's even penned the songs "For the Love of a Daughter" and "Shouldn't Come Back"about their rocky relationship. Demi's older sister took to Twitter yesterday to say, "Rest in peace daddy I love you...", while Demi's mom wrote "Thank you all for the outpouring of love and prayers. Y’all are amazing." RIP Patrick Lovato.

Review: 'Demi' - Demi Lovato

Though she has always been lumped in with the Selena Gomez’s and Miley Cyrus’s of this era (both musically and artistically due to shared history) there has always been something different about Demi Lovato. Musically speaking, there has always been a sense of depth and maturity that her peers have lacked, and her latest release ‘Demi’ is certainly no exception.

Heart Attack - Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato is so fierce. Yesterday the popstar premiered her music video for the single "Heart Attack". This video is very reminiscent of Lovato's "Remember December" video from 2009. It features her rocking out like a true superstar with her band backing her. This video has a sci-fi vibe to it, which we're really digging. This is what's so great about Lovato though. She doesn't need to up the sex appeal to garner attention. Lovato is beautiful without needing to shed clothes or act provocative. Plus unlike a lot of other entertainers on the scene today, she actually has the vocal chops for a long-lasting career. The X Factor: Demi Lovato and Fifth Harmony - Give Your Heart a Break

Last night on The X Factor, Demi Lovato joined Fifth Harmony on stage to sing her hit "Give Your Heart a Break". This was such a fun performance. It's obvious how much the girls look up to Lovato. In fact, you could literally feel their energy and excitement to be performing with one of their idols. Fifth Harmony has quickly become our favorite contestants on The X Factor this season. The X Factor: Judges Commercial

The competition is heating up on The X Factor now that there's only ten contestants left on the show. In honor of this, Fox released a new commercial for the program featuring the judges. Demi Lovato and Britney Spears look absolutely stunning. We couldn't help but notice that Simon Cowell is noticeably missing. Demi Lovato Performs "Give Your Heart a Break" on Katie

Yesterday, Demi Lovato's appearance on Katie finally aired. Lovato sat down with Katie Couric to discuss everything from her time in rehab to her struggles with an eating disorder and cutting. After the interview, she took to the stage to perform her hit "Give Your Heart a Break". This song never gets old and we absolutely loved her arrangement of it. Demi Lovato Presents at the iHeartRadio Music Festival

Next weekend is the highly publicized iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. Performers like Taylor Swift, Rihanna,  Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Usher, and Lil Wayne will hit the stage for this two-day festival. Demi Lovato has now been added to the lineup as a presenter. She's set to present alongside her X Factor co-judge Britney Spears and Olympian Ryan Lochte. Ryan Seacrest will take the honor of hosting the festival. The "Give Your Heart a Break" singer is on a roll. Will any of you be attending?

Demi Lovato Appears on The Today Show

Yesterday morning, Demi Lovato stopped by The Today Show, as part of her press rounds while in New York City to promote The X Factor. While there, Lovato spoke candidly about her past struggles with an eating disorder and cutting, and her advice for anyone going through the same issues. She's so inspirational. Lovato also talked about what it's like working alongside Britney Spears on the reality series and if the rumors are true that Nick Jonas and Justin Bieber are joining the show as guest mentors. This morning, our favorite female singer appeared on Live! with Kelly and Michael. Ms. Demi Lovato stopped by to chat with Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan about her new gig as a judge on The X Factor. We really can't wait for its premiere on September 12. Lovato also talked about her tattoos, what she did for her 20th birthday and her bipolar disorder diagnosis. Hollie Cavanagh - Give Your Heart a Break - Detroit

One of our favorite songs on the radio right now is definitely Demi Lovato's "Give Your Heart a Break". It's such a fun, sing at the top of your lungs kind of song. Imagine our surprise when we found out Hollie Cavanagh was going to be singing this same song on the American Idol LIVE! tour this summer. We basically couldn't contain our excitement. This morning, Demi Lovato performed on Good Morning America as part of their summer concert series. She sang her hit songs "Skyscraper", "Give Your Heart a Break" and "Unbroken". Lovato not only looked incredible but sounded amazing as well. There's a certain kind of energy and passion she brings to the stage every time she performs that's hard to find in other singers. Demi Lovato - Turn Up The Music (Cover)

On Friday night, we were given the opportunity to check out Demi Lovato when she came to the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ. Since this was the first night of the "Unbroken" tour, we knew it was going to be special for not only Demi, but her fans as well. Let us start by saying, this girl is ridiculously talented. Her voice is not only strong, but there's this incredible vulnerability to it that's hard to find today. There's also no denying that she has the most amazing connection with her fans. Her undying love for the people that support her is evident in every word she sings. It was clear that she was having the time of her life on stage, smiling from ear to ear throughout the night. One of the highlights of the concert for us was when she sang a cover of Chris Brown's "Turn Up The Music". This song is such a high energy one and Demi looked like she had a blast singing and dancing her heart out. Watch Ms. Lovato's cover of "Turn Up The Music" below:

Demi Lovato Summer 2012 Tour Dates

One of our favorite singers is gearing up to hit the road this summer. Demi Lovato will be embarking on a 22 date tour beginning this June with special guest Hot Chelle Rae. The tour starts out in Del Mar, CA on June 12 and wraps up in Salem, OR on September 1. We've spent many summer seeing Ms. Lovato on stage, from her 2009 tour with David Archuleta to her most recent Camp Rock 2 tour with the JoBros. Any guesses on who else besides HCR will open for her? The full version of "Aftershock", a song off of Demi Lovato's Unbroken: Deluxe Edition has finally leaked onto YouTube. Previously, the song was only avaliable in Japan. What do you all think of it?
