Last night on PBS' A Capitol Fourth, Idol winner Phillip Phillips performed his coronation song "Home". This was his first public appearance since not only his recent kidney surgery, but his win on American Idol as well. Did any of you tune in to watch him perform? The Children's Miracle Network Hospitals will be presenting a celebration this weekend in Orlando. The annual event at Walt Disney World will be featuring celebrity appearances by Mereditch Vieira, John Schneider and David Archuleta.

The Children’s Miracle Awards, presented by Delta Air Lines, is a formal event that honors outstanding pediatric caregivers at the 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Meredith Vieira will serve as the Awards’ emcee, with a vocal performance by David Archuleta, a song by children’s hospital patient Eileen Garrido and a piano recital by Miss America 2011 Teresa Scanlan.

David mentioned going to Orlando in his latest Vlog. Maybe we'll get some great pictures out of this event.
