First Look: Carrie Underwood in The Sound of Music

As we reported last month, Carrie Underwood will be starring as Maria Von Trapp in NBC's live holiday production of The Sound of Music. Underwood will play alongside True Blood's Stephen Moyer as Capt. Von Trapp. The three-hour special will air on December 5th. Today Underwood tweeted out a first look at herself in the iconic role. Carrie Underwood Injures Foot on Stage

Oh no. Earlier this week at Carrie Underwood's Corpus Christi concert, the country singer fell on stage. Mishaps like this happen all the time, but unfortunately Underwood did end up injuring her foot during the fall. Being the pro that she is, Underwood fought through the pain and not only finished the song "Undo It", but made it through the entire concert. The "Good Girl" singer tweeted about the incident later that night saying, "Hey, remember that time in Corpus Christi when that girl busted her butt on stage?! Hilarious! Oh wait, that was me! #5inchheels #klutz". She then went on to tweet, "I can't move my toes. Is that bad?" Of course fans started to worry, so Underwood sent out the message "Good news, it's not broken...AND I got some new footwear!" Aww. She's such a good sport. Jennifer Hudson To Judge American Idol

This morning, E! News is reporting that Jennifer Hudson has signed on to judge season 13 of American Idol. She's set to be part of an all-alum panel. While Hudson wasn't my favorite contestant, it will be great to see what she can add to the show. Plus, she's definitely one of the more high profile artists to ever come from American Idol. After coming in seventh place, Hudson went on to win an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in Dreamgirls and a role in NBC's Smash. That's not all, she's also had commercial success as a singer. Any advice and critique Hudson can give the aspiring singers will obviously be greatly appreciated. Other former Idols considered for this all-alum panel are Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, and Adam Lambert. Can we replace Aiken and Lambert with Carrie Underwood? Either way, hopefully the idea of bringing back former contestants to judge can boost the ratings up to what they once were.

Blown Away Set List

Last night began Carrie Underwood's highly anticipated Blown Away tour.  This is the country singer's third headlining tour. It's a 55-city nationwide tour that started in Manchester, NH yesterday and will end in Sunrise, FL on December 22. There will even be six stops in Canada on the tour. Country cutie Hunter Hayes will be opening for Underwood on the tour. We're big fans of both artists, so we suggest you check out the Blown Away tour when it hits a city near you. Simon Fuller Receives Star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Yesterday American Idol's creator Simon Fuller received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Fuller was joined by this season's top 13, Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson, Carrie Underwood, Ryan Seacrest, Victoria Beckham and many others to celebrate the momentous occasion.
