Glee - Rumours - Gleecap

Sue continues her reign of terror this week with a new objective. Kill the Glee club from within. What's the best way to turn everyone against each other? Rumors. Blind items to be exact. Sue is hanging out with Terri dressed as Bowie and Ann Coulter. Sue then gets the idea to reinstate the school newspaper and dedicate it to writing gossip and not so blind items about the Glee club. Her mission gets a head start when Brittany accidentally outs Santana on her internet show.

Rachel asks Sam to prom but he turns her down pretty quickly. Now normally, I'd be calling him a douche at this point but because of his storyline this episode, I'll be nicer to him. Rachel and Finn decide to have a stake out and spy on Sam. The first thing they see is Sam meeting Kurt at a motel. Now, no one more than me wants Kurt and Sam to happen like it was originally planned to, if only because the shipper name would have been Kum. However, I don't think anyone is actually falling for this. There is obviously something else going on when the kids also spy Quinn meeting him there. Now unless Sam is into some freaky stuff with Kurt and Quinn, he's innocent here. Quinn however, I understand them spying on. She's a horrible girlfriend who has cheated twice before.

April is back in town and she's here to be really really tiny and really really drunk for most of the episode. Will confides to her about his group crumbling to gossip and she reminds him that Fleetwood Mac was able to survive even the worst slander. Then she performs Dreams. This inspires Will to make their latest assignment, you guessed it, Fleetwood Mac songs. Meh. I thought we were done with the theme episodes. April is back to ask Will to come help her on Broadway which immediately spurs a rumor that he's leaving the school. If only.

Artie is worried Brittany is emotionally and or physically cheating on him with Santana. He's sure that Santana is manipulating her. This may have been true before but we know that she has genuine feelings for the girl now. When Brittany refuses to listen to him, Artie calls her stupid. This causes Brittany to run away in tears and Artie to wheel himself down the hall with a backup band performing Never Going Back Again.  Are they over now? Will Artina finally come back to me? Santana privately serenades Brittany with Songbird but isn't ready to come out yet. She instead fuels rumors that she's hooking up with Karofsky in a car by a graveyard. Romantic.

Quinn and Finn don't trust each other which makes I Don't Want To Know the perfect song for them to sing together. When Rachel performs Go Your Own Way with her bedazzled mic and isn't very shy about looking at Finn during it, Quinn declares that Finn is never to duet with her ever again. Much to the shock of Will, Rachel, and Finn. Rachel argues with Quinn and accuses her of hooking up with Sam. This forces Sam to reveal the real reason they've been meeting him at a motel. His family lost their home and were forced to sell their belongings and move in. Kurt and Quinn were helping him out. While I appreciate the show trying to make Sam relevant again with his own storyline, I wasn't really touched when the kids bought him back his guitar and he cried. It was nice and all but it seemed a bit out of nowhere. His guitar is back just in time for the group to perform together singing Don't Stop.

This episode wasn't the best but I'm not really worried after seeing that promo for next week's episode. HOLY CRAP.

Funniest Quotes of the Night:

Tina: I'd just like to clear up that little rumor about Asian men. Not true.

Finn: I know Kurt brought you clothes but I didn't think sequined riding pants were your thing.
