We knew that Billie Joe Armstrong had a cameo in the recently released comedy This is 40. If you haven't seen the movie yet, you can get a glimpse of a deleted scene from the movie featuring Billie here. The scene features the musician, minus the eyeliner, with Paul Rudd going back and forth over Norwegian Death Metal.

Nick Swisher Is Leaving The Yankees

Arguably one of those most charismatic and fan favorites of the Yankees, Nick Swisher, has decided to leave the New York team for a four year, 56 million dollar deal with the Cleveland Indians. His departure was apparently expected, just not by me. I'm a bit shocked at his departure and I feel like we just lost what little energy the team had left. Alex Rodriguez is going to miss half the season due to hip surgery and Yankee captain Derek Jeter is recovered from a fractured ankle. It was also announced recently that Raul Ibanez, the home run king of the post season, would also be leaving for a 1 year deal with the Seattle Mariners.

Will you miss Raul and Nick?

Sad news for fans of 666 Park Avenue. ABC has decided to shelve the rest of the episodes following the show's cancellation. Great news for fans of USA's hit series Psych. The network announced late Wednesday that the show would indeed be returning for an 8th season. No confirmation just yet about whether or not this will be the show's final season. Unfortunately, with only 8 episodes being ordered, some are speculating that that will indeed be the case. Are you ready to say goodbye to Shawn and Gus? I went here for eneloop batteries for my DVR remote. I don't want to miss a moment of this season.

Taylor Swift - I Knew You Were Trouble

When Taylor Swift released her fourth studio album Red back in October, "I Knew You Were Trouble" immediately became one of our favorite songs by the pop superstar. Swift has always been evolving and changing her style up, but this one was so different from anything we've ever heard from her. Is that some dubstep we hear? Last week Swift released the music video for "I Knew You Were Trouble" featuring Broadway star Reeve Carney as her leading man. Check it out below:

The X Factor: Tate Stevens and Little Big Town - Pontoon

On last night's The X Factor, Tate Stevens was joined by country superstars Little Big Town, to sing the hit song "Pontoon". He's got the stage presence and vocals to be the next big thing in the country scene. Watch his performance of "Pontoon" with Little Big Town below:

The X Factor: Demi Lovato and Fifth Harmony - Give Your Heart a Break

A spin-off of the documentary of the same name, the series follows Nev Schulman and his buddy Max Joseph helping people investigate their online relationships.

I love this show. The first trailer for it was all I needed to see to tell me this would be an entertaining hour of television. With shows like Jersey Shore and the original Teen Mom going off the air, I'm happy to have something even more interesting to watch.

Catfish returns with new episodes January 7th on MTV.

The Voice: The Coaches - Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)

A highlight of tonight's season finale of The Voice had to be when the four coaches took to the stage to perform Green Day's hit "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)".  Unlike some of the other reality competition shows out now, these four coaches are actually talented and still relevant in the music business. Hearing them lend their vocals to the show is always a treat. Plus, they really couldn't choose a better song choice. That song is such a classic. We'll miss Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green next season, but we can't wait for their return for season five. Check out Aguilera, Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton's performance of "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) below:

The Voice: Cassadee Pope and Avril Lavigne - I'm With You

Cassadee Pope shared the stage with Avril Lavigne tonight on The Voice. The two female rockers performed a duet of Lavigne's hit "I'm With You". This seemed like a natural fit. Between her style of music and fashion sense, Pope has always reminded us a bit of Lavigne. Remember when she sang "My Happy Ending" earlier in the season and it was flawless? If you missed Pope and Lavigne's performance of "I'm With You" tonight, watch it below:

Tonight, Cassadee Pope was crowned season three's winner of The Voice. Did this really come as a surprise to anyone? Ever since her audition, this just seemed like the obvious outcome. She remained the front-runner throughout the whole competition and we could not be any happier for her. Pope has always been so much more than the lead singer of the pop rock band Hey Monday. On tonight's episode of The Voice, the contestants and coaches performed a touching tribute to the victims of the Connecticut shooting that occurred last Friday. While this performance was heartbreaking, it was also beautifully done. Watch the cast from season three of The Voice sing "Hallelujah" below:

The Voice: Cassadee Pope - Cry

After Cassadee Pope's performance of Faith Hill's "Cry" on tonight's episode of The Voice, it is clear that this competition is Pope's to win. The X Factor: Top 4 - Coming Home

To kick off the Semi-Finals results show on The X Factor, the top 4 acts performed the Dirty Money featuring Skylar Grey hit "Coming Home". Check out the top 4's performance of "Coming Home" below:

The X Factor: Bridgit Mendler Performs Ready or Not

Last night on The X FactorBridgit Mendler performed her smash hit "Ready or Not". Mendler is a favorite here at Pop City Life. Really, what's not to love?! She's quirky and cute, but she's also extremely talented. In our opinion, her voice and style are very reminiscent of Natasha Bedingfield. It's safe to say she's more than just Teddy Duncan on Good Luck Charlie. Check out Mendler's performance of "Ready or Not" below:

Every time we catch a glimpse of this Canadian crooner singing, we're reminded how much of one-of-a-kind he is to our generation.  Watch his performance of "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home" from The Voice below:

New Music Alert: Neil Jackson - Holding a Candle - Music Video

Snooty Fox Images
Neil Jackson is pretty amazing already right? Among other things, fans of the actor will recognize him from his dreamy accent or his roles on Make It Or Break It and Upstairs Downstairs. He's fantastic in both. But did you know he's also a talented musician? Set for release on February 4th, 2013, Neil has been busy working away on his upcoming album The Little Things. Holding a Candle, the first single off of the album, is now available on Itunes. Even better than that, there's now a music video to go with it.

SNL Dress Rehearsal: Renaldo and Alexi - Video

Some of my favorite SNL moments ever always seem to include a sketch where the hilarious Bill Hader gets the giggles. His giggle is up there with Anderson Cooper has one of my favorites. Really, any scene where the cast breaks character is a good one and this is no exception. The dress rehearsal video for last night's Renaldo and Alexi has both Fred Armisen and Bill fighting to get through the scene without laughing. It's definitely worth a look!
