This episode of Pretty Little Liars was hyped to be a big one. A game changer. And of course, we were told ahead of time that someone in the episode would die. Maybe that's why I felt that the episode fell a little flat. While the reveal was surprising, it was almost anti climactic. There didn't seem to be much build up and of course, it gave us more questions than answers and left the viewers wondering if what we saw was real.Check out our recap of the biggest moments from tonight's episode: "Out of Sight, Out of Mind."
MAJOR SPOILERS:
Denial
Spencer finally tells the girls the truth about Toby being A. Aria is freaked, Hanna doesn't have much of a reaction the entire episode, and Emily is in complete denial. She can't believe that someone she was so close with would betray them like this and believes that there is more to the story or perhaps he's being blackmailed like Lucas was. She then sets off on a quest to find Toby and hear it for herself.
Roadkill
Ashley and Hanna now have to keep another secret. Season 1 flashback! I bet stealing all that money from that poor old woman seems like child's play compared to murder. But Wilden's body has disappeared, and Ashley thinks she sees him in town, so if he's not dead...where is he?
We all know that Hanna isn't the brightest bulb in the box. So when Wilden's car ends up in her garage and she enlists Aria's help to push it into a lake to hide the evidence, I'm not even surprised. She makes horrible decisions this entire episode. I'm more concerned with all those bubbles coming from the lake. Was there someone in the trunk?
Beware of Carpets
Believe it or not, pushing a car into the lake is not the most unbelievable situation Aria is in tonight. While babysitting Malcolm for Maggie and Ezra, the kid, who is old enough to be on Dance Moms, is jumping on the bed. With her back turned, the kid somehow falls off the bed, crashes onto the carpet, and cuts his chin. A ninja turtle band aid isn't good enough here and they have to take him to the hospital. I'm just having trouble caring about this plot when there's so many other things going on.
One Man In...
Spencer gets a Deepest Sympathy wreath from A and takes it to mean that Emily is in danger for looking for Toby. And she probably is. These girls never learn that walking in dark alleys aren't the smartest plans. When Toby agrees to meet Emily and he doesn't show up, she spots someone in a red coat and follows her into a warehouse where she meets a friend of Toby's. He knows her name, she never told it to him, and now we have a new mystery to wrap our heads around. I can't even think about who this guy is because...
One Man Out...
Spencer is following Mona into the woods. Mona is leading her to something. A body. A body in a biker helmet with a very familiar tattoo on their side. As Spencer walks nearer, Mona shouts "He's dead" and runs away as one of those hilarious hash tags flash across the screen.
#Toby'sDead
Yeah right. I don't at all believe they would kill Toby off in an episode that isn't a season finale. There's still too much to learn. And we never did see the face of whoever is lying there. Perhaps it's Wilden's body and A, who is crafty, just had time to tattoo his body to throw the girls off the track. But I am still super worried because the fans seem to think that it could be Jason.
I'm not ashamed to admit that I paused the scene to stare at the tummy. It doesn't look tan or modelly enough to be Jason. At least that's what I'm going to tell myself for the next week or so.
Spencer is found wandering in the woods and seems to have blown a gasket. She's considered a Jane Doe (because apparently the cops can't do a search for her car) and they stuff her in Radley.
Next week is gonna be good.
