True Blood - If You Love Me, Why Am I Dyin'? - Recap

Amnesia Eric is still in full force in this episode. And it is still the cutest thing ever. Seeing Alexander play such a completely different character is fantastic. Sookie or "Snookie" as forgetful Eric calls her, is pretty much stuck with him. She agrees to help him out as long as he promises not to touch or bite her. I wonder how long that'll work for? I never thought this show would reach a point where Bill is the more evil vampire over Eric. But when you have Eric apologizing for getting mud on Sookie's rug and following Sookie around like a lost and bashful puppy, it's really no contest. Pam shows up panicking that Eric has no memory of who he is. When Eric throws her across the room for touching Sookie, he warns her to "be nice to Sookie." Pam believes Bill sent Eric there on purpose knowing that this would happen. She begs Sookie to hide Eric from any danger he is now in. Eric is so adorable fighting his attraction to Sookie. I'd fall in love with him too.

A youtube video surfaces of a vampire feeding on a human and is uploaded to intentionally make vampires look bad. There is apparently a strict law that states that a vampire cannot be filmed feeding. Was this always around? This situation lets us see what kind of King Bill has become. He immediately sentences the vampire to death. Sheesh. Would the old Bill have done that? It's so weird seeing him having sex with someone that isn't Sookie and not showing any remorse for his actions. Has he truly changed that much in a year?

He is certainly still warm to Jessica. When she shows up to see him for the first time in months it's to ask his advice about what she did to Hoyt. Bill encourages Jessica to be truthful to him. Despite having a creepy baby doll continue to show up in their house (Wtf?), Jessica is calm and tells him the truth. Hoyt can't even look at her and it's not long before Jessica gives in and glamours him to make him forget any of it happened. Will he find out again anyway? And what is up with that dirty evil baby doll from last season? Why did Jessica give it to Arlene's baby? She threw it in a lake! That can't be healthy.

Is the doll from Hoyt's mother? She's shown to have an obsession with these dolls and Tommy is still living with her, learning to read and mousse his hair. Tommy learns that her house is sitting on a fortune and goes to Sam for help conning it away from her. When Sam refuses, Tommy is alone and pissy once again. Will Sam regret that? Sam is having a better day now that Tara is back in town. Apparently she hasn't spoken to him since she left and they use this time to catch up. The reunion is cut short when Jesus notices that Lafayette has disappeared.

Lafayette is scared out of his mind and freaking out that Eric will kill them all any minute for what they did. He wants to go and beg forgiveness to save his ass. Little does he know, Eric has no idea. Pam catches him and Tara and Jesus corner her with some wooden bullets. They make a deal to bring Marnie to her to hopefully reverse the damage inflicted on Eric. Take your time. I'm in no rush for the old Eric to return. The new one is so adorable. And is her name really Marnie? Reminds me of Halloweentown. Luna, Minerva and Marnie. Amazing.

The premiere was seriously lacking some bearded hot man plaid don't you think? Thankfully this episode makes up for it. He's wearing clothes though so don't get too excited. Sookie goes to see Alcide in the hopes of pawning Eric off on him. She is (and neither am i) not expecting Debbie to waltz into the room with sausages. Debbie is apparently a changed Jesus lover who has been sober for a year and back with Alcide. Hmm. I'm town between Sookie being with lost puppy-Eric or Alcide. Anyone but Bill at the moment.

The end of this episode was insane. I'm surprised they went there to be honest. Jason is suffering and still tied to the bed, showing signs of being turned. Newly crazy Crystal pops some viagra into his mouth and proceeds to rape him for the "panther cub" she so clearly is craving. I was already disturbed so I was not prepared to want to hurl once the camera panned to every woman and girl in the compound lining up for their turn with Jason. Gross! Why can't he send his thoughts to Sookie for help? Sookie has her hands full dealing with Eric once Claudine shows up once again for Sookie. He drains and kill Claudine. Uhoh. Will he attack Sookie next?
