American Idol: Randy Jackson In, Jimmy Iovine Out

It's been a while since we received casting news on American Idol. Well that's about to change. Deadline is reporting that music producer Jimmy Iovine is out as the in-house mentor and former judge Randy Jackson is back in. Iovine has been with the Fox reality competition show since season three, while Jackson has been a judge since season one. This might be an unpopular opinion, but we'd rather Iovine stay on board. His advice was always very honest and on spot on. Jackson on the other hand? Not so much. If they were going to get rid of Iovine anyways, why not try some new blood to freshen up the show? Randy Jackson To Leave American Idol

Big news for American Idol fans. Randy Jackson will be leaving the show at the end of the season. As viewers know, he's the last original judge left. Sure, it's going to be weird without him next year but I think it's a much needed change. American Idol just isn't the same anymore. It lost that spark it once had years ago. The producers are going to need to do something major if they want to get their ratings up to what they once were.

American Idol Officially Confirms New Judges

Well, it's official. Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Keith Urban, and Randy Jackson are your new judges for season 12 of American Idol. Looks like Nick Jonas didn't make the cut and Randy is sticking around. It looks like they're trying to grab some of the country audience with Keith and are hoping for ratings with Nicki's antics. Will it work? Or is it time to report engine failure? While the show may not be as interesting, I still like the judges on The X Factor more.
