Randy Jackson To Leave American Idol
Big news for American Idol fans. Randy Jackson will be leaving the show at the end of the season. As viewers know, he's the last original judge left. Sure, it's going to be weird without him next year but I think it's a much needed change. American Idol just isn't the same anymore. It lost that spark it once had years ago. The producers are going to need to do something major if they want to get their ratings up to what they once were.
There's talk that all four judges will be replaced next season. Who do you want to see join the show? Where can I put in my request for Michael Buble, Justin Timberlake, Josh Groban or Harry Connick Jr.? How about Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson? It would be so cool to have that original American Idol touch back and they would both have so much insight for the contestants. Maybe even Miranda Lambert? She's a spitfire who has seen her share of success.
We need judges with personalities, but who care more about the show than themselves. That's why this season hasn't connected with fans. The judges would rather promote themselves and stir up unnecessary drama than give critique to the finalists. This is why The Voice is doing so well. The judges are relevant and actually get along. We could go on and on. But please American Idol, this is a chance to start over new. Don't screw it up.
