Review: Slim Loris

If you're on the hunt for new music, check out Slim Loris. This Swedish band's style can best be described as a mix of indie pop, rock, and Americana. While their sound is similar to Mumford & Sons, Arcade Fire and The Avett Brothers, they're truly unlike any other band out right now.

Since starting out in 2009, they've been busy releasing new music for their fans. In 2010, they put out a collection of demos called Amateur Night at the Asylum. The following year, their debut album Down To Earth came out. The first single off of it was "Low". This is one of our favorite songs from Slim Loris. It's got a catchy drum beat, thrown together with haunting lyrics. We also sense a strong classic rock vibe from this number. We guarantee you'll have its chorus stuck in your head for days.

We've got great news for fans of Slim Loris. The band is gearing up to release their new album, Future Echoes and Past Replays, on May 19th. That's in...ten days. This CD will feature a more mature, vulnerable side from the band. Over the years, the guys have grown as artists, which will be clear on Future Echoes and Past Replays. We're so excited to hear it all!

For now though, take a look at Slim Loris' official site and Facebook
