It's been a while since we received casting news on
American Idol. Well that's about to change.
Deadline is reporting that music producer
Jimmy Iovine is out as the in-house mentor and former judge
Randy Jackson is back in. Iovine has been with the Fox reality competition show since season three, while Jackson has been a judge since season one. This might be an unpopular opinion, but we'd rather Iovine stay on board. His advice was always very honest and on spot on. Jackson on the other hand? Not so much. If they were going to get rid of Iovine anyways, why not try some new blood to freshen up the show? What do you think of this casting news?
