Recap: Vote for Me, I'll Set You Free
The episode starts out with Ike making waves in the kitchen by telling Ms. Robbie that Bishop was eating a chicken wing that he did not pay for. Ms. Robbie reminds everyone that they are supposed to pay for their meals in order for her to pay them. Ike takes it a step further by saying Bishop was eating some other entrees as well. Ms. Robbie says that she will deduct one meal from his pay. This causes Bishop to bring up Ike's cell phone use, which Ms. Robbie overhears. Ms. Robbie reprimands Ike, reminding him of the no cell phone policy. The funny thing about this is that Ike gets all solemn looking and says "I can't believe you told." Don't dish it, if you can't take it. Time to get over it, Ike.

Andre asks Charles to teach him how to drive. This was a bad idea from the start. Charles admits that he had something like 13 cars, of which 9 were totaled. Andre should definitely just go to drivers ed. Also, at this point, Charles probably should be banned from driving altogether. Andre was hitting those brakes so hard that I'm surprised Charles didn't have whiplash. He even ran over cones and just kept going. LOL it was too funny.
Tim talked Ms. Robbie into having the family do a photo shoot in order to determine what pictures they could put on t-shirts. Tim believes selling t-shirts is an opportunity to bring in extra money for the business. Surprisingly, this was a good idea, since it gave the family a chance to work together. Little Timmy and Shanae even participated. Tim and Shanae seem to be getting along, even though they were a hot mess in the last episode. Tim shows up at Mangrove and everything is peaceful. He wonders what's wrong since there's barely any staff there. That's when Tim realizes that Ike is at the Upper Crust, even though Ike's supposed to be working at Mangrove. Tim announces that he is going to pick Ike up and the staff is like 'No. Leave him over there.' LOL I guess that's what happens when you're looked at as Ms. Robbie's pet.
Tim brings Ike back and of course it's loud and everyone is in a bad mood. Tim decides to send Ike back over to the Upper Crust for good. Obviously Ike wasn't interested in this proposition, until he learned if he stayed that his hours would be cut and he would lose his job altogether. He had no other choice but to return to Upper Crust. I am going to assume that his reputation as the tattletale preceded him, because the others told Ms. Robbie that he stole some juice. Ike denied it as the staff and Ms. Robbie were questioning him. It was all in good fun and everyone had a good laugh about it. Tim came up with a contest where the diners voted to determine who they would rather see on a t-shirt. Andre and Charles had people double voting, Tim filled out a lot of ballots, and Shanae had little Timmy hold a pencil checking off their names. In the end Ms. Robbie won as they showed a video of her slipping a handful of votes into the box.
Real Talk:
I really liked this episode. It showed the dynamics of both the biological and work family. Even though Ike is a hot mess, he keeps people on their toes. They know when he's around, whatever you are doing is going to be passed on to the boss. I get the feeling that Tim and his mom appreciate Ike and treat him like family. They may talk about him, but at the end of the day they respect him and know that he will do his job even when no one is looking.
