Review: Streets of Shanghai - Selina Stoane

If you're looking for new music, then it's time to check out Selina Stoane's debut album Streets of Shanghai. When we first listened to the 10 track CD, we automatically were reminded of the electro pop band Icona Pop. Like Icona Pop, Stoane delivers that fun and upbeat sound we've all been craving. Streets of Shanghai is laced with with dance tracks like "One Sin is Never Enough" and "L.U.V. Soldier". In fact, we have to say "L.U.V. Soldier" is our favorite off the whole album. It's such a feel good number; the kind that you'd expect to hear on heavy rotation at any club.

While the album doesn't feature any ballads, Stoane does slow it down a bit with songs like "Hollywood" and "Superstitious". Another favorite song off Streets of Shanghai is the title track, since it perfectly depicts what we love so much about this Norwegian turned New Yorker recording artist. "Streets of Shanghai" shows off Stoane's creativity, thanks to her fast paced lyrics in the chorus.

Our verdict on the Streets of Shanghai? Buy it. Whether you're out on the road or working out at the gym, this is the perfect album to have by your side. Stoane's music is full of catchy beats, sweet melodies, and smooth harmonies that will keep you hooked. Her music is currently available everywhere via Spotify and iTunes.
