Kelly Clarkson was set to marry her fiance
Brandon Blackstock in October. Well now it looks like the wedding is off...kinda. The two had originally planned an extravagant wedding filled with all their celebrity family and friends. So why the sudden cancellation of the nuptials? Well Clarkson explained yesterday that due to their busy schedules, the happy couple decided they would rather elope. She later went on to say that things "got crazy" and "all the details were leaking" after they sent out a save-the-date to their guests. Then with her Christmas album coming out in October, there just isn't enough time to put together a huge wedding. The "People Like Us" singer also said that their "whole life is a celebration," so they decided to have a small wedding so they could "have an intimate moment that's special." The two eventually sent out a letter to their guests thanking them but explaining that now "it's just going to be [her] and Brandon, his two kids and the minister." This doesn't surprise us at all. Clarkson has always been so down to Earth. Good for them.
