Written by Latrice E. Porter

We find ourselves back in New Jersey with everyone reunited as friends, with the exception of Theresa and Jacqueline. The Gorgas have a photo shoot. Albie Sr. is a bit over his wife's constant relationship advice. Joe Guidice is the voice of reason. Surprise surprise, Theresa falls back into her old routine when she comes face to face with Jacqueline.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Sunday, August 4, 2013

We start off with Melissa and the boys as they arrive at Joe's construction site. Melissa asks if it is always this dirty? Hmm, well it is a construction site and not a maid service. Joe tells her that he is going to be a spokesperson for a tanning salon and wants Melissa to join him. She claims she wants in on it so Joe can have his time in the spotlight. He obviously sees right through this and calls her out, asking if it's really because Theresa did it.  Melissa admits it is. She does not want to start the...'my sister-n-law is a copy cat' storyline from Theresa.

We swing to Theresa and her kids preparing dinner for the Gorgas. They are back to Sunday Dinners. Out of all the children, Antonia is the only one who is very outspoken with an attitude. LOL she is quite a piece of work. Theresa asks Antonia if she's going to cook for her husband when she gets older and she says no, he will cook for her. Audriana then goes off to play with Antonia and Milania, but Milania doesn't want her to join them.

Next stop Jacqueline's house. This was pretty much a prep for Jacqueline and Theresa's upcoming meet and greet. Surprisingly, she is very calm about it and will accept any phone calls Theresa sends her way for a reconciliation. Next stop the Guidice's house. Melissa tells Theresa to keep being a good little girl so that they can continue being a family. Which was not called for. Melissa...strike 1 on that one. Seriously, let's not start a fire. Melissa makes a comment that she is a lush, as she asks for more wine. Theresa's eyeballs get big and she shakes her head, practically agreeing to the statement. Melissa later says to Theresa that Caroline told her Jacqueline knows all about Theresa's promise to kiss and make up.  This leads to Bravo and Theresa taking us down memory lane, all while they bring up Jacqueline's transgressions. You may recall these include: Telling the world during the reunion that Theresa caught Joe with some woman on the table in his office, telling Dina she saved her rear end when it came to Dina's affair with Danielle's husband, all while her husband sits next to her looking like he wanted to hide under the table, informing Danielle that she read a 800 page court document about Danielle's criminal past. Joe Guidice cuts Theresa's trip down memory lane short, when he tells her to zip it. He can't hear it anymore and just wants her to make up with Jacqueline already. It's time to let it go.

We move onto Albie and Chris, who bring our focus to the construction on the new restaurant. Albie is concerned because they are not open yet, even though there's talk that members from the Brownstone want to come and work for them. Next stop Kathy's house, where Rosie is a guest. Kathy tells Rosie that she never had a problem with her being a lesbian. It was the fact that she did not like the girl Rosie was dating at the time. Rosie says she knows that, but Kathy should have just accepted that she loved the girl and kept quiet.

We move next to this fake apartment that Caroline and Albie Sr. share. Caroline says that Albie Sr. doesn't like it because they have to keep transferring their clothes from the mansion they live in to this new place. Seriously, buy some new ones or just pack some in the car and leave them at the apartment for the next time you visit. It sounds silly to me. Plus, the fact that they have a mansion but still come and stay in the apartment...all the while Caroline twists her husband's arm to do so...it seems to me like they need to let the apartment go. It was a bad idea and a waste of money but I digress.

The Manzo kids arrive for dinner. Caroline ask how everything is. Albie Jr. divulges that they have a trip to Florida coming up and that the restaurant is still under construction. He says that if it fails, he won't have anything to put on his resume. Chris basically says that Albie Jr. is overreacting and needs to relax. In the confessional, Chris calls Albie Jr bat a** crazy. He then proceeds to say that in the past he always wanted to be Albie Jr., but not so much anymore. Chris isn't worried at all for him. Okay, got you Chris but that is the way Albie Jr. feels. Let the normally confident guy have his day where he's concerned. Then you have Dr. Caroline calling Albie Jr. a workaholic and they cut to Albie Sr., who looks like he's ready to roll his eyes. Albie Jr. explains why he feels the way he does and Dr.Caroline goes in on him with her therapy. Cue Papa Manzo who steps in and tells Caroline she needs to stop and that she can't tell him to slow down now any more than she could have 20 years ago. Mr. Manzo tells Caroline that no one wants to get their balls broken because they are motivated. He then tells her to shut the eff up and gets up from the table to look at television. LOL as if he never told his wife to shut the eff up before. This leaves Chris and Lauren looking at Caroline like...again? I feel like this is a very real scenario with them that we see often. Personally, I'd tell her to say what you are going to say and zip it myself. She does seem to repeat herself over and over again. Well that ends dinner at the Manzos.

Melissa is doing her photo shoot for her book, while Joe is doing his for the billboard. The photos include him lifting some 100 lb chick over his head and doing push ups with her on his back. Moving on. Theresa calls Jacqueline to say that she does not want them to be friends just to be civil. That prompts Jacqueline to invite Theresa and her husband over to her house. Theresa brings up the ambush from last year and says that they should meet in a restaurant instead. I think Chris and Joe could go back to hanging out like old times, since it is the wives who have the problem with one another.

Moving on to the club. The crew sets out to find Rosie a hookup. I am not sure if it was a hit or miss. She did end up giving the girl her number so...we will see what happens. Now back to the apartment. Albie Jr. has a heart-to-heart with Caroline about Papa Manzo's behavior. Caroline cuts that short and tells him that they are okay and there's no need to worry about her and Albie Sr. In the confessional, Caroline states that their marriage is none of Albie Jr.'s business. I guess that conversation is closed. The Lauritas and the Manzos meet up at a restaurant to mend fences. Chris and Joe have a glass of wine and are now buddies. Theresa and Jacqueline are upstairs alone, when Theresa remarks that Jacqueline is an evil person. Jacqueline says nothing at all. The episode ends with Theresa realizing that Jacqueline does have something to say, but chooses to keep mum.

Real Talk...

Melissa needs to learn that she should not say everything that comes into her head. Joe Gorga loves his body...a little too much. Caroline needs to stop with all of the therapeutic conversations. Sorry, I'm with Albie Sr. on this one. Say what you are going to say and that should be it. It's like someone constantly hitting the repeat button with her. Albie Sr., get over yourself. This is your wife, even though you wouldn't know it because you've spent only one day out of the week with her for the last 30 years. I can understand where Albie Jr. is coming from though. Remember he was kicked out of law school? The letter said they didn't want him back, so I get where he's coming from. He doesn't want to fail again. Yeah, poor baby, but I get it. Now Bro. Chris should continue stuffing his mouth with food...since he's been doing that a lot lately. I don't think he gets that Albie Jr.'s insecurities stem from him being rejected from the school due to his learning disability and that he's now trying to prove himself. In a crazy way, I believe Albie Sr. really does understand.

I applaud Kathy for being open with her sister. I can see by her facial expressions that she is a little uncomfortable by it all, but she's willing to deal with it for her sis. Got to love that. Rosie needs to look up some of these clubs before she decides to visit and layoff of the liquid courage. She must have talked for 30 minutes, all while chugging alcohol, making the ladies ran out the door. Chill and relax, it will all come. And NO Alcohol. Not a drop. Rich should be the one on these dating sites. He always ends up finding someone for Rosie. Chris Laurita....I can say that he stand by his woman.

Then there's Joe Guidice. He seems so different this season. I think he calmed down because he probably knew they were up for these fraud charges. He now realizes what is important. I'm glad but it's a little too late. He's currently facing all of these charges and deportation, which would leave his wife and little girls behind in America. That move was not smart at all Joe. Theresa is not so smart herself to have gone along with it. I truly applaud Jacqueline because she is really holding back. Theresa is flipping out and taking advantage of the situation by stating that Jacqueline is the reason why her life has abundant strife. Theresa relax, you both agreed that you would not be friends. The both of them should toast to the future, do their little fake cheek kisses, and go downstairs with their husbands. That is the best that I can see coming from this little tea party.
