You can expect the typical West we have grown accustomed to over the years; a contradiction of sorts. For example, the topic of spending money is something he touches on quite frequently in his music, and is always a contradictory subject when it comes to this artist. One minute you can hear him spitting lines like "Spending everything on Alexander Wang, new slaves" in the already popular track "New Slaves" which implies that he, regardless of his own wealth, sees right through the ever-growing wall of shallow, American consumerism. Just as quickly as he seemingly denounces self-indulgence however, listeners will pick up on lines on the track "I Am God", which amusingly, comes right before "New Slaves", in which he raps "Hurry up with my damn massage, Hurry up with my damn ménage, Get the Porsche out the damn garage, I am a god".
Besides Yeezus being very different to anything he's ever done before, he also reveals a lot of interesting information on each track that may cause fans to question what is going on with his personal life and of course, the woman we have all come to know whether we like it or not, Kim Kardashian. Even more interesting is the fact that there have been rumors flying around the web on the status of their relationship. Something that comes into question when listening to the album in it's entirety. All in all, the man is quite busy as his daughter with the reality TV star was born just days before his album release.
As an avid fan of this artist myself, the opposing implications are exactly what makes this rapper such a household name and interesting artist to follow. You never know what to expect from Kanye West, and it looks like that is exactly the way he wants it.
