Take Me Home Cover Art
Source: Facebook
Today is a good day to be a One Direction fan. This morning, the guys did a Twitcam session to talk about life and of course their sophomore album Take Me Home, which is slated to be released in November. Beginning Monday, you can even pre-order the album. Throughout the day, the guys have also been tweeting pictures from their album cover. Now, thanks to their official Facebook, the full photo is out for all the fans to see. What do you think? They all look so dapper and...British. Why is Niall hiding in the phone booth though? Oh well. Don't forget to check out the YouTube video the guys recorded with their big album announcement below:
Jersey Shore Canceled After Six Seasons
The MTV Phenomenon known as "Jersey Shore" has finally been canceled after three years on the air. This upcoming sixth season will in fact be the last. Is anyone really surprised by this news? Snooki just had a baby boy a few days ago, and The Situation has been in and out of rehab. The show just isn't the same as it used to be. In my opinion, fame definitely took away any charm these self-proclaimed guidos and guidettes had. Also, if for no other reason, how many times can we watch Ron and Sammie break up and get back together? Farewell, Jersey Shore. Thanks for the laughs, the tears, and most importantly giving my state a bad reputation. Goodbye. Good riddance.

Pretty Little Liars Summer Finale Spoilers - 3x12 The Lady Killer - Recap
I still can't wrap my head around tonight's Summer finale of Pretty Little Liars. Any disappointments I had about the last one (when Mona was revealed as A) are 100% gone as my jaw is still on the floor. This episode gave me exactly what I wanted. A shocking, action packed episode that didn't feel like it was being toned down for ABC Family.
Are you ready to find out who was the ultimate betrayer? Who was revealed as a member of The A Team? Major spoilers for the Summer finale of Pretty Little Liars: The Lady Killer.

Pop City Life Exclusive: Interview with D.W. Moffett

With an impressive amount of roles in both stage and screen, his career is exceptional. Couple that with being fans ourselves, we're incredibly happy to announce we got the chance to chat with him about the upcoming season of Switched at Birth, who he would love to work with, the possibility of returning to Broadway, and a very welcome scoop on a return to Happily Divorced..in more ways than one!

True Blood Season 5 Finale: 5x12 Save Yourself Bonus Scene
So much was going on during last night's True Blood season finale that it's hard to imagine them cramming in any other scenes or raising anymore questions. They saved it for us to ponder once the episode ended. In this bonus scene from Save Yourself, Jason wonders out loud about where Warlow is hiding so he can shoot him. Someone listening to the conversation asks him "What do you know about Warlow??"
How will this factor in to next season? Have we met Warlow before? Who will be the bigger villain? Him or Billith?
Watch the bonus scene here:
First Look at Mulan in Once Upon A Time
Who's ready for some bad ass sword fighting on Once Upon A Time? Here is a first look at Mulan from season 2 of the hit ABC drama. Played by Jamie Chung, Mulan's character will be helping Prince Phillip look for Aurora. Prince Phillip will be played by PopCityLife favorite Julian Morris. Can't wait for that!
Hot Musician Alert: Megan & Liz
One song that we've been hooked on lately is "Bad For Me" by Megan & Liz. These sisters have been one of our favorite YouTube artists for years, so it's great to see them finally getting the recognition they so greatly deserve. Recently they won iHeartRadio's rising star contest, making them one of the performers at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas next month. "Bad For Me" is even being played on Z100 aka the biggest radio station in the country. That's when you know you've made it. If their single still doesn't ring a bell, you've probably heard it featured on Macy's latest commercial. We saw them back on tour with Action Item last year, and they had such a great stage presence. These girls are not only talented, but complete sweethearts as well, making them our hot musician alert this week. Check out Megan & Liz's music video for "Bad For Me" below:
Glee Season 4 Promotional Poster
With season four's premiere quickly approaching, Fox has released another promotional poster for Glee. This time around, we have one featuring most of McKinley's graduating class (like Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Naya Rivera), as well as newbies like Dean Geyer and Jacob Artist. We couldn't help but notice some of Glee's finest missing. Where's Dianna Agron, Jayma Mays, Vanessa Lengies and Damian McGinty? What does this mean for the fates of their characters? I guess we'll find out when Glee returns on September 13.

True Blood Season Finale Spoilers - 5x12 Save Yourself - Recap
Because my brain hasn't quite comprehended the INSANE events of tonight's True Blood season finale, the recap isn't quite happening. However, here are the biggest spoilers of the night that everyone will be talking about tomorrow.
Who lived, who died, and who made out in the season finale of True Blood: Save Yourself:
Glee Season 4 Promotional Poster
On September 13, Glee is returning to FOX. In the premiere episode, titled "The New Rachel", we meet Kate Hudson's character Cassandra. She'll play Rachel's new dance instructor at NYADA. Remember, last we left off Rachel Berry was no longer a high school student. Instead, she was on her way to New York City to make all her dreams come true at NYADA. We can't wait to see what adventures Berry lands now that she's no longer at McKinley High. Check out Hudson and Lea Michele in the season four promotional poster above!

Everybody Hurts - David Archuleta
Even though David Archuleta is currently on his two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he left so many goodies to keep us occupied in the meantime. This past week, his music video for "Everybody Hurts" was released. "Everybody Hurts" is off his latest album BEGIN. The heartwarming video even features Archuleta belting out the R.E.M classic alongside an orchestra. He sounds incredible. We miss you David! Watch the music video for "Everybody Hurts" below:
American Horror Story : Asylum Teasers
American Horror Story was one of our favorite shows on television last fall. With great actors like Jessica Lange, Dylan McDermott, and Connie Britton, there was so much to love. It had the perfect mix of drama, suspense, and mystery, that hasn't been seen on television in a long time. Since the show was created and produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, was there any doubt that this would be a huge hit? Well, this fall American Horror Story is returning to FX. American Horror Story: Asylum will feature many of the same actors from last season, although they'll be playing completely different characters this time around. Check out some teasers below of season two:
Person of Interest: Guest Stars Returning for Season 2
As the season 2 return date for Person of Interest draws nearer, more information about the season is starting to trickle out. While looking at the promo pictures of the new season, I wonder what Root's plans for Finch really are? What's going on in The Contingency? Why is she treating him to dinner? Maybe she has a crush. Not that I blame her. Vests.
Here is a confirmed bunch of guest stars that will be returning for the much anticipated second season of Person of Interest:
The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons - Trailer
With the current season of The Real World winding down, that can only mean one thing: the next season of MTV's The Challenge is on the way. The theme this season is Battle of the Seasons and takes place in Turker with former Real World contestants battling it out for $250,000.

ABC Family To Launch 'Pretty Dirty Secrets'
Just as I was getting ready to mope about the lack of Pretty Little Liars on my screen until October, ABC Family has changed that. The network will be launching a spin off web series entitled Pretty Dirty Secrets to air on ABCFamily.com during the hiatus. TVGuide reports that 8 episodes will begin August 28th at 5 PT/8 ET and run right up to the Halloween special.
Starring cast members Brant Daugherty (Noel), Yani Gellman (Garrett), Vanessa Ray (CeCe), Brendan Robinson (Lucas) and Drew Van Acker (Jason), the series will take place in the local Halloween store where the town is preparing for the big festivities. A new character, played by Aerial Miranda, will also be introduced.I am always ready for more Jason. These characters haven't gotten a ton of focus this season so I'm curious and excited about the possibilities the spin off could bring. Will you be watching?
Christina Aguilera: 'Your Body' Demo Leaks
I am one of those people who have been patiently waiting for a comeback of sorts from Christina Aguilera. She's got a great platform as a judge on The Voice so her new single could get a lot of promotion that way. I wasn't in love with her Bionic phase but after five listens, I am really liking the demo for her new single Your Body.
The demo of the song has leaked and you can listen to it here. What do you guys think of it?

Pretty Little Liars - 3x11 - Single Fright Female - Recap
This episode of Pretty Little Liars served to be, nothing more, than a set up for next week's season finale: The Betrayal. I really hope it delivers this time. If the betrayal is someone boring like Paige or Nate I'll kick a baby. Ezra's baby. Oh yeah, about that...
Recap of Single Fright Female:
Michael J. Fox Returns To NBC In New Sitcom
We're so excited to report that Michael J. Fox will be returning to television with his own sitcom! The series inspired a heated bidding war between networks with NBC being declared the winner. The show is said to be slated for Fall 2013.
Via TVLine:
“To bring Michael J. Fox back to NBC is a supreme honor and we are thrilled that one of the great comedic television stars is coming home again,” said NBC president Robert Greenblatt in a statement.
“From the moment we met with Michael to hear his unique point of view about this new show, we were completely captivated and on board. He is utterly relatable, optimistic, and in a class by himself, and I have no doubt that the character he will create — and the vivid family characters surrounding him — will be both instantly recognizable and hilarious. Being in business with him is a supreme pleasure.”
Added Fox: “I’m extremely pleased to be back at NBC with a great creative team and a great show. Bob Greenblatt and all the folks at the network have given me a warm welcome home, and I’m excited to get to work.” This will mark Fox’s first full-time series gig since he passed the Spin City reins on to Charlie Sheen in 2000.
Nicki Minaj Joins American Idol as Judge
Well..this is interesting. Multiple sources are confirming that Nicki Minaj has joined the judges table on American Idol. She will be sitting at the table with Mariah Carey. If the rumors about Nick Jonas joining the show as well are true, well, this will certainly be interesting. It looks like there's something for everyone. Is American Idol putting up a good enough fight to compete with The X Factor?
What do you think of this choice?
True Blood Season 5 Finale Preview: Episode 5x12 - Save Yourself
True Blood season finale preview! The episode, Save Yourself, vows to be a bloody, action packed hour of television with the war of vampires against faeries and humans heating up. I would actually love if this year's finale didn't just end with the villain of the season getting killed off. I know a bunch of characters will probably be killed off in the finale, like they always are, (and I kind of wish they would just take Bill at this point and save Russell and Steve) but it would be great if the war carried over to the next season. With all of this build up, it would be great for it to continue.
If it means Jason will wear more of that spy gear, I'm all for it. But seriously, take Bill. And Luna too. And give Alcide something more interesting to do. I'm finding myself falling asleep during his scenes and that's not okay.
Who will make it to next season?

Injury Lawyers Could Be Rich on These Hit Dramas
As I go through the amount of television I've watched this past season, I realize what a bloody, violent, and painful time some of my favorite characters are having. Someone is always in danger every week on True Blood, the gang on Hawaii Five-0 have to walk around in vests at the risk of Wo Fat taking them out at any given moment, and it's no surprise just how dangerous Reese's job is on Person of Interest. Can you imagine how successful injury lawyers would be on these shows? Guys like Injury Lawyer Seattle would just have nonstop business every time the villain of the week was revealed. Talk about hazardous working conditions. But if you yourself ever find yourself in a situation where you could use some help following an injury and you're in the Seattle area, consider Injury Lawyer Seattle.

ABC Family Renews Bunheads, Switched at Birth, Melissa & Joey, and Baby Daddy - Cancels Jane By Design
Great news for ABC Family fans! The network has just renewed a handful of their hit shows including Switched at Birth, Bunheads, Baby Daddy, and Melissa & Joey. Unfortunately, the network chose to pass on renewing Jane By Design. I personally love all of these shows so I'm very happy with this news. Baby Daddy was a surprisingly hilarious sitcom for me and it's no news how much I love Switched at Birth.
Be sure to tune in to Switched at Birth when it returns on September 3rd.
Wild Pop 100 Concert

Doors open at 4 p.m., so we suggest you get to the venue early since this is a general admission concert. Pretty Little Liars - 3x10 - What Lies Beneath - Recap
This episode was at least, a little better than last week's. There was a bit of a reveal and three people were revealed to be innocent in Maya's murder. The biggest question you need to ask yourselves is this: Who would enjoy watching Wheel of Fortune? Hmm.
Recap of Pretty Little Liars: What Lies Beneath:

Lucy Hale Graces The Cover of Cosmopolitan Magazine
Lucy Hale looks flawless on the cover of the September issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine. In the magazine, the Pretty Little Liars star opens up for the first time on her past. Did you know she battled an eating disorder growing up? She goes into detail about how she struggled with body image issues and what she did to overcome it. This interview isn't all dark though, Hale also spills the details on her relationship with boyfriend Chris Zylka. They're so cute together! Hale is definitely one of those girls that while we all envy (hello, she gets to lip lock with Ian Harding for a living), we all love as all. She's strong, humble and beautiful and we'll definitely be picking up a copy. The issue is available on newsstands August 14.

True Blood Preview: 5x10 Gone Gone Gone - Sneak Peeks - Video
What are the vampires going to do if their only legal source of food is getting blown to bits? And what the heck is going on with Bill? I wish someone would just wrap him in silver chains already. Here are some great sneak peeks at Sunday's new episode of True Blood: Gone Gone Gone.
The clips are relatively short but definitely worth it. Who is on the receiving end of this gun in Sookie's hand? And you know you want to see Russell and Steve slow dancing to Teenage Dream.

Big Brother Results - 8/9/12
This week’s Big Brother was insane. We saw one of the strongest players this show has ever seen, Janelle, backdoored into the a spot on the block. Then, there was the formation of two new alliances in the house. The first one is the Quack Pack, which Ian named, while the other is called the Silent Six for obvious reasons. Well, like any Thursday, we said goodbye to one more contestant and learned who will be holding all the power in the house this week. Who went home? Who’s the new HOH? Check out tonight's results below:
Wide Awake - Shane Harper
To celebrate 100,000 followers on Twitter, Shane Harper posted a cover video to his YouTube channel. In the past, he's sang Selena Gomez's "Love You Like a Love Song" and Coldplay's "Pardise". This time around, he took on Katy Perry's megahit "Wide Awake". This is one of my favorite songs on the radio right now, thanks to its haunting melody and lyrics. I think I speak for all his fans when I say this is definitely the best thank you present he could give us! Watch Harper's cover of "Wide Awake" below:

Pretty Little Liars - 3x09 - The Kahn Game - Recap
This was another slow episode for Pretty Little Liars. Not much happened action wise. There was a lot of potential though when it came to a game of Truth with Noel and Jenna but it only lasted about 5 seconds and nothing was really revealed. ABC Family needs to loosen the reigns a bit and start taking some more risks. Don't be afraid to anger the fangirls. Think about the story.
Recap and spoilers from The Kahn Game plus the Ezra secret everyone will be talking about:
True Blood Preview: In The Weeks Ahead - 5x10 - Gone Gone Gone - Promo - Video
How crazy was True Blood last night? Bill has, in my opinion, officially lost his mind. What a traitor. The blood he's been drinking is obviously drugged. He's being such a wienie. I'm kind of ready for him to be killed off but that will never happen.
This preview however raises so many questions for me. I won't say them until after the cut so you guys won't be spoiled. But, you need to watch it. The final episodes of the season look even crazier.

Big Brother Results - 8/5/12
On Thursday's episode, Big Brother unleashed a new twist into the game. Boogie, Janelle, Dan, and Britney are ending their run as coaches in the house, and are now players in the running for the $500,000 prize. Will alliances stay the same? Will the newbies try to take out the veterans? There's so much potential that could happen. Things are definitely about to get heated. The Rockshow At The End Of The World Tour Dates

The tour titled "The Rockshow At The End Of The World Tour" will begin on October 12 in Sayreville, NJ at the Starland Ballroom. This 33-city tour wraps up in Baltimore, MD at the Rams Head Live on November 23. Hit The Lights and The Downtown Fiction will both be joining the tour as well. Are you attending? Check out the list of tour dates below:
The Glee Project 2 - 2x10 - Actability - Perfect - Video
The cast of The Glee Project is changing it up a bit this week for Actability. Instead of a normal music video, the video of the week is more of a short film. Each kid has been given what I can only describe as an over-the-top embarrassingly dramatic storyline to show their acting shops. I actually laughed out loud and cringed when Aylin has to say she was pregnant. I have to say she was the weakest of the video this week while Michael seemed to shine the most.
Watch the video for Perfect here:
Chris Richardson ft. Tyga - Joy & Pain - Music Video
Chris Richardson has released the music video for Joy & Pain. The song features Tyga and is the first single off his upcoming album. I'm really liking the song. It's has a great Summery sound and actually reminds me of Jesse McCartney.
What do you guys think of the song?

Fall Tour Alert: All Time Low and The Summer Set
Within the past few weeks, rumors have been circulating the Internet that All Time Low and The Summer Set would be teaming up for a fall tour. Well, it's now official. The Summer Set will be supporting All Time Low this fall when they hit the road for a US tour. Dates have yet to be released. Of course, we will keep you updated when tour dates do come out so keep checking back here. We've seen both of these bands live before and each never fails to disappoint. They've got crazy energy, as they belt out catchy songs you won't be able to get out of your head for days. Take our word for it, this is going to be one tour you won't want to miss.
