It's That Time Of The Year: Tax Season

It's April already, which only means one thing, taxes are almost due. Thanks to my sister who's a CPA, I always know when tax season is around. There's lots of long nights spent at the office and weekends are basically non existent. I even remember one night she tried to give my own personal 101 tax class to try to understand what her job consisted of. It was then that I knew I made the right choice becoming a Journalism major and staying far, far away form math. Accounts, you're almost there though. On April 17, this all comes to a close. Well, until next year at least.

One great thing about the end of tax season though? Tax refunds. After losing so much money throughout the year to the IRS, it's nice to get that check once a year. So if you're any of you are a Registered Tax Return Preparer out there, thank you! I'm used to my family spending the money we get back from taxes on summer vacations. Though personally, as a huge music lover, I plan on spending whatever money I get back this year on concerts. There's countless bands and events I would love to see this summer. We've got the Bamboozle Festival and One Direction tour coming up in May, the American Idol tour this July and August, and of course that rumored 98 Degrees tour. Actually, I change my mind, I would use my tax refund money to go to California and catch a show there. That way I get the best of both worlds, vacation and music. What do you do with you usually do with your return? If you could spend the money you get back on anything what would it be?
