The stars gathered for another night in MTV history tonight for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. The event was hosted by Russell Brand and seemed relatively low-key when you think about past award shows on the network. Then again, it might just be the VMA's that deliver the shocking moments and give the censors something to think about.

What did you think of the show tonight? It seemed a lot of the jokes were a bit forced and awkward and just..not funny. I miss the moments when Best Kiss was accompanied by an epic moment everyone was talking about the next day. Or really, any moment people would be talking about the next day. Remember Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling? Amazing. Russell Brand seemed nice enough but I was more captivated by the cold looks he was receiving by random people in the audience for his jokes. Not even laboratory ovens or a roaring fire could have warmed up that one highly unamused girl in the audience.
