Pretty Little Liars - 3x03 - Kingdom of the Blind - Recap

After realizing that Jenna has been lying about being blind, the girls try to use it to their advantage. Aria agrees to spend time with her to see what kind of clues she can discover in Jenna's bedroom. As if Hanna wasn't already taking one for the team by continuing to visit Madhouse Mona, she wants to figure out why Lucas is suddenly a demon seed setting trash cans on fire. Remember when he was a sweet photographer?

Here is our recap for Pretty Little Liars: "Kingdom of the Blind."

I really don't know when or why Lucas suddenly became such a wiener. It can't all be because Hanna doesn't love him back or because he's a gambler can it? Either way, he certainly hints to Caleb that he knows more about A than he's letting on. And who is the black swan? And in his spare time, why is he visiting Mona? What do the two of them have to talk about? He seems to think Mona is faking it so she's safe from whoever is on the outside. This is one tangled web.

Mona is certainly quite the chatter box now when Hanna goes to see her. It's weird. Why do they all seem to be forgetting every thing Mona has done? She does however, know that Alison's body is missing. Who told her? When Caleb goes to visit her to tell her to leave Hanna alone, she doesn't have much else to say except a strangled scream that delivers a hilarious WTF face from Caleb. I can't wait for the gifs.

Emily worries about her grade and this is easily the biggest filler plot of the night. Every time a scene is devoted to it I roll my eyes. It's obvious they need something for Ezra to do that doesn't involve making out with Aria on top of a counter or a bathroom sink. And quite frankly, Emily shouldn't complain about being given a 94 from her teacher. Especially when her teacher tells her not to worry about it even though it could cost her her job. Who squealed on her? Was it Ezra? Does he want Ella's job? These were my hopes until he ultimately saved her butt by talking to the vice principal. Sneaky sneaky sneaky.

The girls follow Jenna to a doctor's office and within like 10 seconds, she's driving an old fashioned car down the street without her sunglasses. For one wild moment I thought she had a twin because of how fast she got in there. Hanna is sick of this b.s. and stands herself in front of the car to confront Jenna. Dang girl. You almost got yourself run over again. Jenna admits she's pretending to keep herself safe because she's "still a target." According to her, all she did was pick up a drunk Emily in the middle of the street. I don't necessarily buy it. Wasn't someone else in the front seat with her? Who texted Emily about remembering the car?

The most interesting and shocking reveal of the night was definitely about Melissa. She's not pregnant anymore. And she isn't pushing a stroller either. Spencer's mom says she's defending Garrett because he's convinced her of his innocence. What did he say to convince her? Are Melissa's medical records the ones that wouldn't lie? It seems like it could be.

Spencer calls the hospital that Melissa supposedly went to after suffering a miscarriage and they have no record of her ever being there. Confused, Spencer calls the hotel and learns that Melissa stayed at a spa for a few days and her mother was with her. Whaaat?? Who does that right after losing a baby? Someone who..lost is a long time ago? Or perhaps someone who was never pregnant at all? How long has she been faking this? And why?

What did you think of the episode? Why would Melissa lie about her pregnancy? What does Garrett know? Is Jenna telling the truth?
