Switched at Birth returns after a Summer break with no break in drama. This is the Color of My Dreams was a great premiere episode and really set up the premise for a great season.

The families get together to welcome Bay home from her Summer trip to the Galapagos and she comes home with a surprise of her own. A feather in her hair, and a new man! Bay arrives home with a new boyfriend named Alex. He's a cutie. Toby has a new girlfriend as well. You can't keep the Kennish siblings down.

Recap:

Returning just in time for Kathryn's book release party, Bay tries to keep Emmett out of her mind. It's a tough task when motorcycles pass by and Emmett writes her a letter. He drew her a map to some "Please Forgive Me" street art. I can literally feel Quit Playin' Games With My Heart playing in the soundtrack of Bay's mind. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem she's as over him as her new boyfriend is hoping and I think they just broke up. Bay confronts Emmett about how he wrecked everything and he can't patch it up with words. Good for her. I hope they don't get back together right away. What do you guys think?

Daphne spent her Summer taking classes so she could get a job at a restaurant in the Fall. Unfortunately, no one will hire her because they don't know how to handle someone being deaf. With Kathryn's help, she lands a job at a prestigious kitchen. After a day or two, she's demoted to a dishwasher because, well, her boss is a total douchebag. He is just horrible to Daphne and tells her off in front of the staff telling her that dreaming of being anything she wants is a joke. What a nice guy. Daphne refuses to let him get her down and improvises a way to stay safe in the kitchen.

Angelo's hearing has arrived and the judge doesn't rule in his favor. Despite his charges getting reduced and his family providing letters of support to the court, he is deported back to Italy. Bay leaves the court in tears and Regina tries to calm her down. When she can't, she realizes there's something she can do. She runs back into the court and agrees to be married to Angelo. She can do that? I can't wait till he moves in.
