Once Upon A Time returned tonight with quite a bang. Picking up just moments after the curse was broken, the town begins to adjust to the return of their memories. What does this mean for Regina? Will she be able to protect herself from the torches and pitchforks of the town now that magic has arrived?

Why is Rene from True Blood getting post cards from a dove about the curse in Storybrooke? Who is he? Why is this man in a city important? I guess we'll find out.
The Old With The New
The town wakes up from their 28 year long curse and everyone hugs. Henry walks up to Charming and calls him Grandpa and it's all very adorable. But the happiness is short lived because Dr. Whale has gathered the town up to kill Regina and Henry and Snow beg Emma to help put a stop to it. They'd rather she just be imprisoned.
Who is Dr. Whale? What are your theories? Personally, if he was really hungry all the time I'd think he was Monstro. Other than that I have no ideas.
Belle makes Rumply promise that he won't give in to his hate and kill Regina. He promises. He promises that he won't kill her. Ah loopholes. He gets this talisman and forces Regina to touch it so that this creepy, flying, soul sucker attacks her. When it arrives to town, I can literally hear the sound effects from LOST. It's like the Smoke Monster had a baby with a dementor.
Fairy Tale Lane
This episode we get to see the dashing Prince Phillip save Princess Aurora with the help of his buddy Mulan. Quite an odd pairing. Unfortunately for Phillip (and my eyes) he touches the same talisman and is marked by the same soul sucker. He isn't as lucky as Regina and he's (I assume) dead by the end of the episode.
Surprise!
Mulan lets Aurora in on what exact went on while she was taking her nap. Regina cast her curse on the land and for some convenient reason, their area of the world remains. But it's still very dangerous. So the world is still there?
Regina uses Jefferson's hat as part of a plan to send the soul sucker to Wonderland and away from them. It already sucked a bit of her soul out and it appears she's starting to experience some memory loss. She has no idea who Jefferson is.
When the soul sucker falls through the portal, they don't move over fast enough and Emma gets sucked inside as well. Snow then voluntarily jumps in to go with her LOL. Regina and Charming remain behind.
Imagine Mulan and Aurora's surprise when Snow and Emma wind up on the floor next to them.
