If you're not hoping that this rumor is true, rethink your life choices. Word has been swirling lately that Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are on their way to getting back together. Of course there's only one little problem. Gosling has been dating his The Place Beyond the Pines costar Eva Mendes since September of 2011. According to Hollywood Life, Gosling and McAdams have been talking over the phone ever since McAdams split from actor Michael Sheen last month. This of course doesn't settle well with Mendes, since those two dated for two years back in 2005. Gosling wants to be McAdams' shoulder to cry on while she goes through this rough time, but Mendes doesn't want him to have any part of it. We can't say we blame Mendes at all. First off, no one should ever willingly let Gosling walk out of their lives. Second, anyone with eyes could see that The Notebook costars were perfect together. Noah and Allie, come on now. Does anyone remember Gosling's interview with GQ where he referred to McAdams as one of the "great loves of my life?" Please oh please let this rumor prove to be true.
