From High School Musical to Camp Rock, the Disney Channel has consistently provided us with some of the best family friendly movies in years. Well this summer, we'll have another movie to add to the list. On July 19th, the new Disney Channel Original Movie Teen Beach Movie will air. The film stars Austin & Ally's Ross Lynch and Australian newcomer Maia Mitchell. Lynch and Mitchell play Brady and McKenzie, surfers who mysteriously end up on the set of the movie 'Wet Side Story' after riding their last wave of the summer. They'll need to find a way to return to the present without changing the outcome of the movie in the process.
Of course this movie will be filled with original songs, that fans will love. We love the 60s vibe this film has, which is an obvious throwback to the days of Frankie and Annette. Also, we're probably outdating ourselves here but does this plot remind anyone of that Sabrina the Teenage Witch episode where Sabrina and her friends go on vacation to a resort and end up in a 60s beach movie? Either way, we can't wait to see Teen Beach Movie when it premieres this July. Check out the official trailer for it below:
