The Amazing Race 20 Finale Results

Tonight the final four teams on The Amazing Race competed in their last leg for the million dollar prize and the ultimate title of sole winners. In the two hour finale, the teams traveled from Japan to Hawaii in their quest for victory. Who will win the million dollars and come out on top? Will it be army wife and combat pilot Rachel and Dave, Big Brother supercouple Brendon and Rachel, border patrol agents Art and J.J. or dating divorcees Vanessa and Ralph?

Winners: Rachel and Dave
2nd place: Art and J.J.
3rd place: Brendon and Rachel
4th place: Vanessa and Ralph

Recap: The first hour of the finale played out just like every other episode, eliminating the team to check in at the pit stop last. Unfortunately this was Vanessa and Ralph's fate, after they fell behind in the "Bring That Chicken Home" roadblock. One member of each team had to jump up and grab three chickens on a fast moving treadmill. With Vanessa's sprained ankle, this proved extremely difficult and was the ultimate reason for their end on the show.

In the second hour, the final three teams headed back to America to compete for the grand prize. Like every other week, Rachel and Dave pulled away in the lead right off the bat. They dominated this season, being the only team in twenty seasons to win eight legs. With both the border patrol agents and team Big Brother getting lost finding the challenges, everything seemed to be in favor of Rachel and Dave's big win. Does The Amazing Race producers set up these challenges in the most obscure places? Are these landmarks part of some huge hidden object game? How do teams always get lost? How do these cab drivers never know where these roadblocks are located?

Well the married couple seemed to have the win in the palm of their hands until they completely missed their final roadblock. Oh no! Speaking of hidden object games, these flags and marked paths always remind me of one. You have to seek them out, but once you find them, you know you're heading in the right direction and are close to victory. This wasn't the case last night though. The major and his wife stumbled upon the marked path too early, making them believe riding the paddleboards was all that separated them from the million dollars.

This mistake proved crucial! While Rachel and Dave paddled, Art and J.J. showed up to the final roadblock putting them in first place. When Rachel and Dave finally reached the mat, they didn't quite hear the news they were hoping for. Phil clued them in on their mistake, forcing them to go back and complete the first half of the roadblock. In the end though, it didn't even matter because the two teams met up. Art had trouble completing the roadblock, while Rachel aced it. Rachel and Dave finished first, paddled once again across a huge body of water, and checked in first at the mat, making them the winners of The Amazing Race 20.

Did you want them to win? They were probably the last team I wanted to win but what can you do. Secretly I was hoping for a Ralph and Vanessa win, but my dreams of that were crushed within the first hour. Sound off below!
