Phillip Phillips Meets Fans At The Airport

Yesterday, Phillip Phillips got the news that he had made it into the final three on American Idol. All Idol fans know this means one thing: hometown visits! In case you're unfamiliar with this, basically the contestants return home and are treated as royalty, right down to a huge parade in their honor. Today Phil arrived in his hometown of Leesburg, Georgia. Watch the video below of Phillip being welcomed home by his legions of fans at the airport:


 Source: WFXL He's precious. Up until now, his fans have only seen him through a television or computer screen. These hometown visits give fans right from their town or miles and miles away the chance to catch a glimpse of their Idol up close. Unfortunately, I've never been to one because contestants from the Tri-State area never make the final three. 

Well, one thing's for sure, I can only imagine what the security is probably like at an event like this. This draws in a massive amount of people. Forget the days when cyber security was enough to protect them, now these contestants are going to need some straight up big and tough security. Where's the JoBros' security guard Big Rob hanging out nowadays?
