David Freese Returns to the Cardinals For Their Home Opener + Derek Jeter Hopes To Return To Yankees By May

On Monday, the Cardinals returned to St. Louis for their home opener game vs. the Cincinnati Reds. The best part about this was that third baseman David Freese was finally able to rejoin his team after being on the 15-day disabled list.  During spring training, Freese sprained his lower back trying to catch a foul ball that flew into stands. Thanks to this, he had to miss the first six games of the season. Matt Carpenter filled in on third base in the meantime. As part of Freese's rehab assignment, he was sent to the Triple-A Memphis, the minor league baseball affiliate of the Cardinals, for three games. Find out what Freese told The Associated Press about returning to the Cardinals for the home opener below:
''This is a day I don't ever want to miss,'' said Freese, who grew up a Cardinals fan in suburban St. Louis. ''I know one day it's going to come to an end, but as many times as I can I'd like to be a part of this special day.''
Freese said he was 100 percent, adding ''I feel like it's February.''
Freese, you were missed. We're so glad to have our favorite baseball player back where he belongs, that we don't even care that the Cardinals lost the game 13-4. This season is going to be a tough battle between the Cards and Reds for the National League Central championship. So please Cardinals, stock up on your TENS Units and Muscle Stimulators, we cannot afford another injury to this team.

Injuries seem to be plaguing our favorites this year. Our Yankees favorite Derek Jeter is also dealing with his own injuries and trying his hardest to get off of the disabled list. Following last year's fractured ankle, Derek is slowly but surely inching his way back. The iconic captain took up batting practice yesterday in Tampa and started running around the bases. As much as I want to see him back as soon as possible, I know rushing these kind of injuries is not the right thing to do. I broke my foot in 2011 and I still have issues with it. Better safe than sorry. And we want him to be 100% right? Things like the LG-TEC Dual Combo TENS Unit and Muscle Stimulator benefit players that rely on pain-free muscles to get through their daily games. The Yankees are hoping Jeter can make a return to the team by May.
