J.Cole's New Album Born Sinner Tops The Charts

Written by Adriana Morales

Born Sinner is in it's third week atop the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, which makes J. Cole's second chart-topper after the 2011 debut of "Cole World: The Sideline Story". What is more interesting about this particular artist are the claims from fans, semi-fans, and disinterested listeners alike - that J. Cole is exceptionally boring to listen to. This is a popular statement among many, even with some of his hit singles that at least caused some naysayers to wake up. He still has a lot to prove to them though because a few catchy singles here and there doesn't seem to be enough to win the hearts of current Hip-Hop fans out there.

However, with news on how his current album is doing; he has surpassed Kanye West's "YEEZUS", 439,000 copies to his 431,000; J. Cole doesn't seem to be losing as many fans as you would think. Another point to be made when comparing the two is that J.Cole has released a few singles from Born Sinner whereas Yeezy kept everything under very tight wraps until his album release. As you know, singles can help promote an album greatly and help lure listeners into buying it as well.

Regardless of what people have to say about J. Cole though, make sure you don't sleep on the kid! He's talented and he's probably got a few gems up his sleeve!
