Over the weekend, we found out that
Glee star
Cory Monteith passed away at 31 years old. While we're all heartbroken over this tragedy, many are starting to wonder how will his death influence the series? Will they write his passing into Finn Hudson's storyline? Will the football player turned singing stud be permanently away pursuing other options? We definitely can't imagine them recasting the role. Monteith was iconic for how awkward and lovable he made Hudson. To be honest, we'd be perfectly okay if the Fox series just called it quits right now. For us, the love affair between Finn Hudson and Rachel Berry made the show. Plus, it was quite clear that both Hudson and Monteith were the glue behind that show.
Well we should know how
Glee will handle this shocking news in the coming weeks. The cast and crew are expected to begin production within the next month or so. Of course scripts will need to be rewritten to reflect this tragedy. According to
E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos, a source says that it's "Too soon to tell" how
Glee will deal with Monteith's death. "Everyone is in shock," another source told her, adding, "To say that Cory was much loved on the Glee set doesn't even begin to do him justice."
This is all too sad. Like the rest of the world, we loved Monteith. RIP Cory. We will miss you so much.
